Commission....
This Contemporary designed Stained Glass window panel was a commission made for a private residential premises. The panel was constructed using the traditional way of using lengths of lead "came" then soldering the joints and finally lead puttying the whole panel and a clean up. The design (Copy Righted by Witney Stained Glass) and glass colours/textures were agreed with the customer, the idea was for the panel to be situated half way up a stair well to shine both artificial and nature light against the colours and textures of the glass to been seen coming down a stairway and from a Dining/Lounge room.

Private Commission

Commission....
This Stained Glass window panel was constructed using the copper foiling method (as in Tiffany lamps) using a mixture of rich yellow and amber glass colours as this was for a golden anniversary gift to be hung in a conservatory.

These Stained Glass window leaded panels are a rendition from the Victorian era with colours chosen by the customer. The panels are located and fixed into an doorway which is often used therefore extra strength was required in the constuction of the panels and are hidden within the flanges of the lead "came" to enable not to disturb the design of the panels.

Commission...
These Stained Glass window leaded panel(s) are fitted into a "sash window". The design is simple but effective using coloured border lines (glass chosen by the customer) within all 12 panels, accuracy was required so that the whole sash window gives the appearance of one leaded panel design.

Commission...COMPANY LOGO
This Stained Glass panel is a company logo to form part of blue lizard arts (website to be announced 2008). This panel was constructed using the copper foiling method as in "tiffany lamps", the three tones of blues match the companies logo. Extra strength lines are incorporated around the edges of the panel (as you would at the bottom of lamps) to give the strength and robustness as this logo/panel has already been displayed at an Exhibition (October 2007) held by blue lizard arts and will be continually displayed at future events also in the growth and promotion of the company blue lizard arts.

This Stained Glass Roundel (abstract design) is constructed using the copper foiling method with a mixture of glass colours and textures, (in this piece) greens, amber, yellows, reds, orange, blue/green streaks, solid white, solid black and teal green...the glass that appears in the photo to look blueish is the teal green which is a lovely colour to use against the other rich colours. The solder lines have been cleaned and polished to give a silvery finishing effect. This Abstract Roundel measures 11" in diameter. I have named this "ENTANGLEMENT" an abstract design with a detailed eye entangled within the abstract. The Eye...the whites of the eye is a solid white glass with the impression of overlapping by the abstract in parts, the iris of the eye is a two toned glass with blue and green streaks. The pupil of the eye...the left side is a solid black glass and the rest of the pupil on the right side are different colours (these pieces of glass are smaller than my finger tips) and the idea behind that was to represent a reflection in the eye with the impression of the eye looking at another abstract from the other direction...ie..from within the eye looking outwards. There is also a hidden design within the panel which can be seen in three directions, I will leave that to the viewer(s) to find.....

This stained glass "Geometric" Oval shape designed panel was constructed using the copper foiling method. A simple but effective design using a mixture of glass colours and textures, in this piece I have used a selection the colours of the rainbow which reflect nicely against the background of natural light. The solder lines have been cleaned and stained to give a silvery finishing effect and to bring out the richness of the glass colours. The idea behind the design was not to have a circle of rainbow colours but to divide this in half to make an oval shape and to allow the observer to look beyond the shape both left and right as continuing circles. This stained glass (Celtic Knot/design..rendition) was constructed using the copper foiling method "as in Tiffany Lamps". In this piece three shades of green were used...teal green, light green and a medium green. The texture of the glass has a rippling effect (water glass) and reflects well in both natural and artificial light. From the picture taken you can see the rippled effect with the reflection of the tree through the glass at the bottom right of the picture. The solder lines have been cleaned and polished to give a silvery finishing effect. This stained glass Celtic Square measures 24cms from corner to corner diagonally. SOLD....February 2008

This Stained Glass Abstract "Tree of Life" is constructed using the copper foiling method with a mixture of vibrant glass colours and textures.
You can see by the photograph the rippling/reflections of the textured glass against the natural background light.
The design also follows the colours of the rainbow in a flowing nature 7 times (49 pieces of coloured glass), I have allowed the observer to pick where the start and finish of the rainbow is in the design.
The glass at the bottom if the panel is Iridescent glass which displays a spectrum of colours that shimmer and change due to interference and scattering as the observer(s) position changes.
This piece is supported in an Iron Wrought Gallery Stand so that it can be positioned anywhere also for the observer(s) to see both sides of the panel for glass texture and also to see that the soldering is equally done to the same standard on both sides. The solder lines have been stained using a black "Patina" solution and polished to give a dark finishing effect. This Stained Glass Abstract "Tree of Life" measures 12" in diameter.
